Different Tools,
Different Roles

Every website needs something different, and so does the team behind it. Here’s a closer look at what each tool does, what it handles best and how it shapes the site after launch.

How We Build

Custom build or familiar CMS? Both are covered, from Nuxt, Laravel and Strapi for custom web applications to WordPress, Drupal, Kentico and Magento for easy-to-edit websites and online stores, each matched to the project’s needs.

Technologies

Where It Runs

Be it local or global, every website needs a reliable home. We recommend Vercel, Cloudways or Malaysian hosting, based on traffic, performance needs and who will maintain the site, with speed and security as the priority.

Principles Behind
Every Pick

The right technology does more than get a website live. It affects running costs, security and how easily a team can update content for years to come. Every web development project we take on follows three principles, so the tools we recommend stay in your control, make sense at each stage and last well beyond launch.

Your Website, Your Call

The content you provide stays yours. Before work begins, we walk you through running costs, from licence fees to hosting, and agree who handles what after launch. Where your team manages updates, we set up the access and training it needs.

Transparency at Every Step

Our tech recommendations and project timelines come with clear reasons behind them. Regular check-ins on the staging site keep the team looped in throughout the project, with the whys and the whens covered at each stage.

Built to Last

We build websites with the long term in mind. Clean architecture, thorough testing and clear documentation keep each site stable and easy to maintain for the team after us, even if that team is still ours.

FAQs

Still curious? Unravel the answers, one slice at a time.

  • Our Toolbox explains the technologies, content management systems and hosting options we use to build and run websites. It helps you understand what each tool does and where it fits. It is a guide to our approach, not a collection of downloadable tools.

  • No. Start with what your website needs to do, who will update it and which existing systems it must connect to. We recommend an approach and explain the trade-offs in build cost, ongoing costs and maintenance. If your IT team has a required platform, tell us at the start.

  • A CMS lets your team manage website content. A framework gives developers a foundation for building pages and custom features. Hosting is where the website runs. These serve different purposes and can work together in one website.

  • We can assess it before recommending a replacement. Share the platform, version, hosting arrangement and the problems you want to solve. We check whether the existing setup can support the new requirements, then explain what can stay and what needs to change.

  • Allow for domain renewal, hosting, maintenance and any paid platform licences, plugins or third-party services in the agreed solution. Open-source software can remove a licence fee, but it does not remove hosting or upkeep costs. We explain the expected recurring items when recommending the setup.
